A SAMPLING FROM ONE OUTLET FANNING THE FLAMES OF HATE IN THE MOTHER COUNTRY

Defiant SLPP thugs planning more attacks on Mayor arrested at SLPP Headquarters

Written by WE YONE NEWSPAPER

Tuesday, 17 March 2009

Monday, 16 March 2009 17:26  :True to their nature as a violent party with an uncontrollable membership,  members of the opposition SLPP this morning again attempted to prevent the Mayor of Freetown and his staff from entering the Freetown City Council office. According to eyewitness report the SLPP hooligans, who apparently have been in the office for several weeks running, were heard singing Kamajor songs late last night which when translated meant that ‘tomorrow we are again going to show you people that we are the boss'

News making the rounds in the United States is that the Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP),which has still not accepted its defeat in 2007, is plotting to create a major political mayhem in Sierra Leone . Many Sierra Leoneans are calling on the government to keep a hawk's eye on Kailahun District from where hails the SLPP Chairman, John Benjamin, whose  latest activities are being described as suspicious. .

SLPP has a history of fighting the verdict of the people
Written by Mohamed Aziz Nabe
Monday, 13 April 2009
The SLPP will forever continue to fight no matter what you do to teach them to accept the verdict of the ballot boxes. You know, these people are bitter, and are apt to do anything to derail the APC government as they are prone to have been doing over the years. There has never been anytime in the contemporary political history of Sierra Leone wherein the APC party leaders were found wanting in fighting to overthrow an SLPP government other than a legitimate general election.

Dr. Kadi Sesay is Unpatriotic and a Disgrace to Intellectualism
Written by Joseph S. Sherman, Editor-in-Chief, The New Rising Sun, USA

After reading the Press release of the SLPP of April 9, 2009 edition of The Patriotic Vanguard, captioned “Partiality and Unprofessional Conduct of the Inspector General,” signed by the newly elected Vice Chairman, Dr Kadi Sesay, it begs the question as to what moral basis and professional conduct is she making such frivolous statements

The Inspector General of the Sierra Leone Police Force, Mr. Brima Acha Kamara, yesterday stated emphatically that there is no evidence that women were raped at the SLPP Headquarters during the recent fracas between supporters of the ruling All People's Congress ( APC) and the opposition Sierra Leone People's Party ( SLPP).

“Destined to rule !?” The defrauders of Democracy
Written by KHADIJA SESAY
Monday, 06 April 2009
The power mongering tyrants, in their plight to once again hold our country under siege with their mischievous activities, must not be underestimated. Filled with hatred for the party in governance, which represents development in Sierra Leone, the opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP), led by the barbarian German-born John Benjamin Hirsch, will not stop at anything to defraud the principles of Democracy in our country to the detriment of our people. The pattern of the SLPP in their refusal to accept defeat had always resulted in their constant struggle to take control of governance with reckless disregard for human lives which is no longer tolerated by the people.

Why does the SLPP thrive on negative propaganda and unpatriotic schemes ?

After numerous attempts by the opposition SLPP to tarnish the image of President Ernest B. Koroma through negative propaganda from their sponsored media, they are prepared to take their destructive and unpatriotic schemes to the UN in New York and Washington, DC where they intend to portray the government of the APC as being "Abusers of Women Rights."

Who is a worse human rights violator than the SLPP ? : A graphic view from an independent organ
Written by Cocorioko Newspaper Limited
Wednesday, 01 April 2009
When the Sierra Leone People's Party ( SLPP ) was in power in Sierra Leone from 1996-2007, the government committed horrenduous human rights abuses. The SLPP  government did not only hurt and kill journalists and peaceful citizens ;Even refugeees thrust in their care by international organizations had their human rights violated by the SLPP. It is good to be going back to see the SLPP'S gross human rights abuses for Sierra Leoneans and the international community to see that it is the height of hypocrisy and double standards for the SLPP to speak about human rights.

Rape in Sierra Leone : SLPP's heartlessness to women was most shameful and unbelievable
Written by Our Political Correspondent Jonathan Fynecontry
Sunday, 29 March 2009
The Sierra Leone People's Party ( SLPP) has no moral authority to question the All People's Congress (APC)  government's handling of the recent alleged rape incidents in Sierra Leone. If it is true that these women were raped, it is regrettable and I wish to condemn the perpetuators and call for action against them. However, worst incidents of rape happened under the watch of the SLPP  government and the sad thing is that all the women raped during the SLPP era never received justice.

SLPP 'mavericks' should not mistake President Koroma's tolerance for timidity
Written by Sekou Dauda Bangura : New Jersey, USA
Sunday, 29 March 2009
SLPP headquarters in Freetown was severely damaged while some supporters of the grand old party including the recently elected chairman of the Western Area Lansana Fadika were seriously manhandled for having the temerity and brazen audacity to hurl stones at a peaceful APC procession led by the Mayor of Freetown Herbert George Williams. Though unfortunate and regrettable, what happened two weeks ago should serve as a sobering political lesson to all SLPP unruly and ill-guided political enthusiasts - Enough of the madness!

Cry wolf, and the desperate men want power : Part 1
Written by Cocorioko Newspaper Limited
Thursday, 26 March 2009
The Sierra Leone's Party's diabolical plan to seize power in Sierra Leone is deceptively couched  in deceitful mantra that involves inciting trouble and crying out to the International Community. If Sierra Leoneans and the International Community are not smart enough, they are certain  to get fooled  again by the SLPP's desperate methods of seizing back power in Sierra Leone.

SLPP wants to use ex-combatants but we will neutralize them this time
Written by Brima Turay, Associate Editor, The New Rising Sun, USA
Thursday, 26 March 2009

Reports coming from Freetown about the SLPP recruiting Ex-combatants and ex-Kamajor fighters and attempting to transport this group of God damned people to cause trouble in Freetown and, perhaps, the entire country should not be treated lightly. We cannot sit by and wait to see these unscrupulous and God-forsaken individuals derail the peace and tranquility for which so many Sierra Leoneans have had to sacrifice their lives to bring to fruition. The SLPP and their so-called leaders should be ashamed of themselves to even think of stealing power through the barrel of a gun this time around.

SLPP hatching more plots to destabilize Sierra Leone, 2 credible papers report
Written by Cocorioko Newspaper Limited
Wednesday, 25 March 2009
While their propaganda tabloids are busy creating the impression that they are the victims  in Sierra Leone, the opposition Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP), who were  ironically accused of provoking the recent Freetown disturbances,  have  been accused again of hatching more plots to destabilize Sierra Leone. One of the country's most respectable and credible newspapers, THE NEW CITIZEN (Which even opposition newspapers have praised before for its independence and impartiality ) reported today about plans by the SLPP to bring  ex-combatants to the Sierra Leone capital, Freetown, to create chaos.

SLPP and the threats to Sierra Leone's national security : Sierra Leonean expresses concern
Written by SIDE JUDGE
Wednesday, 25 March 2009
If the report of the attempt by SLPP officials to transport 70 ex-combatants (Kamajors) to Freetown is correct, it must be time for the world to be blunt with SLPP leaders. The act itself is more than suspicious. It points to the covert actions of the opposition to reverse all progress in a nation now rebuilding from 10 years of war. How unpatriotic are the members of the SLPP?

No to unwarranted propaganda and provocation by the SLPP
Written by Khadija Sesay

Fear and chaos are slowly returning to our country. Perputuated by those who once again refuse to accept defeat and embrace developement in our nation, the SLPP in its bid to control every aspect of our lives is now seeking to fill our thoughts with fear and discouragement. In September 2007, as it has always been in a Democrartic system of government, we the people of Sierra Leone clearly spoke in the ballot box. Between the two major political parties,we chosed the one we prefered to rebuild our nation and hold the peace in Sierra Leone. Eleven years ago, the country faced the worst form of exploitation and poverty. Since independente in 1961, through those years, we learned from experience what it takes to provide solid foundation for making real improvements towards change in our country.

The numerous coups d’etat and the Ndorgborwusu have failed from the 60’s to 90’s without the SLPP achieving their agenda to manipulate Sierra Leoneans to their whims and caprices.  Then as luck would have it they succeeded in ushering the NPRC, and the Kamajors who surreptitiously ushered them to power.

Opposition SLPP blamed for political unrest in Sierra Leone

Monday, 16 March 2009 17:54  UN Radio presenter Kwame Ben Carew today said that many of the violent clashes between the members of the ruling APC and the opposition SLPP are happening because the SLPP Secretary General Jacob Jusu Saffa reacts to issues emotionally instead of logically. Kwame Ben Carew made this statement in a radio discussion programme this morning during which ace broadcaster Winston Ojukutu Macaulay did not mince words in directing the blame of past Friday's violence at the opposition SLPP.

Sierra Leone does not have to spin into CHAOS, because SLPP is not in Power

Given the recent history of Sierra Leone, any news of violence and political brawl is a cause for concern.  In less than a week after the opposition party SLPP elected their leader, it raises eyebrows that consecutive clashes have ensued between supporters of the ruling APC party, and the opposition SLPP.  Earlier, Sierra Leone online newspapers reported on skirmishes in Pujehun district

"Ex-RUF/Kamajor combatants" removed from SLPP Headquarters : Eye-witnesses say

Twenty-six people armed with machetes and swords have been removed from the Sierra Leone People's Party ( SLPP ) Headquaters in a Police sweep that resulted in more fighting between supporters of the SLPP  and the ruling All People's Congress ( APC ) in Freetown today. Eyewitnesses told our reporter that some of the men confessed to have  been  ex- combatants of the  disbanded rebel force , the Revolutionary United Front ( RUF) and the one-time SLPP Government militia, the Kamajors --Two fighting forces that carried out horrific atrocities during the Sierra Leone war.  This claim has not been confirmed by COCORIOKO as we went to press.

Sama Banya and others are still greedy for power in Sierra Leone

Their con imagery in the eyes of Sierra Leoneans must be put to stop and the New People online newspaper of the SLPP is full of fabrication, deception and lies against President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma and the APC government. Some political pundits I have spoken to declare the political propaganda machinery of the SLPP- the New People newspaper online - as preposterous, naive and nonsensical.

SLPP is the party of thugs and hooligans , not the new APC
Written by Abdul B Kamara (Chief) USA

In 2007, the APC Party won an election classified as an example to true democracy. The people of Sierra Leone in clear terms expressed the disappointment they had over the conduct of the SLLP Party. They had all the opportunities and support, yet failed woefully to lead this small nation to development. They got a notice to leave in the most democratic way, a fact few sincere, (if any) pen pushers of ‘The New People’ will attest. The SLPP and its propaganda machineries have being working tirelessly in a way they did not work to help the people of Sierra Leone, rather to undermine the administration of the New APC government of President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma.

LIES, LIES, AGAIN : SOLOMON BEREWA AND SLPP DID NOT CONCEDE DEFEAT ON THEIR OWN VOLITION :
Written by By Cocorioko reporters on the ground

Sierra Leone People's Party ( SLPP) candidate Mr.Solomon Berewa's latest boloney that he loved Sierra Leone  so dearly  ( Love indeed   ! !) that he conceded defeat in the 2007 Presidential Elections to avoid a Kenya or  Zimbabwe-type chaos  is not only a wicked and diabolical lie. It is a continuation of the culture of deception that has marked politics in Sierra Leone since time immemorial. The fact of the matter is that the SLPP  was prepared for war  and to contest the results to the bitter end .

It is apparent that from all indications the opposition SLPP is designing a systematic approach to dislodge the APC government either by covert or overt operations.  The call by the President Ernest Koroma for all forces to come together in fostering development seems to go unheeded; instead the opposition SLPP is bent on provocative campaign of calumny, slander and an attempt to sow seeds of discord in the military

SLPP Planned Petition: A Bogus Attempt to Discredit President Ernest B. Koroma

It seems without the SLPP in power there will be no relative peace in Sierra Leone.  The citizens of Sierra Leone are tired of the evil machination of this bunch of unpatriotic, egoistic, and power hungry morons masquerading as a political party but in reality they are anarchists and terrorists whose sole purpose is to destabilize Sierra Leone and deprive the peace loving citizens of their inalienable rights to choose a leader of their choice.

Some Sierra Leoneans in the United States told COCORIOKO  tonight that they are planning to send a petition to President Barack OBama and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown to report the opposition Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP ) for acts of provocation against the ruling All People's Congress (APC ) and for destabilizing the country . The petition form which  the Sierra Leoneans say will be sent to various online media outlets  tomorrow, will ask citizens of Sierra Leone in America and Britain to sign it with the plan for said petition to be presented to those concerned .  The citizens , who called COCORIOKO , expressed grave concern about an attempt being made by the SLPP  to make the APC  appear to be the only party responsible for the political unrest in Sierra Leone.
